About This Event

The Closing Campout is the grand finale of the Yo-He-Wah Nation season, held along the shores of Lake Ray Roberts. The weekend wraps up with a season awards ceremony full of memories from the year — and moms and siblings are invited to join Sunday morning for the family celebration and closing ceremony. Ray Roberts Lake State Park's Isle du Bois unit, near Pilot Point, has swimming beaches, fishing for bass, crappie and catfish, and twenty miles of trails in the Greenbelt Corridor. Campsites have restrooms and showers nearby, and picnic pavilions overlook the lake for Sunday's family gathering.

Buy firewood locally (emerald ash borer quarantine); fires in the fire rings only.

Bring and know

Bring: tent and bedding, camp chairs, swimsuits and water shoes, sunscreen and bug spray, a reusable water bottle, and something for the Sunday family picnic. Park hours: open daily 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Pets: not allowed. Nation campouts are pet-free, even where the park permits them.
