About This Event

The Opening Campout at Tyler State Park is where the Yo-He-Wah Nation season truly begins. Set around a spring-fed lake ringed by pine and hardwood forest, it's the perfect backdrop for new tribes to form, old friendships to pick back up, and dads and daughters to kick off a brand new year of adventures together. Tyler State Park sits on a 64-acre spring-fed lake in the East Texas pines, about two hours east of the Metroplex. There is swimming and fishing from the shore (no license needed), boat rentals on the lake, and more than thirteen miles of trails through the woods for hiking and biking. Campsites have water and electric hookups with restrooms and showers nearby.
