About This Event

Winter camping has its own kind of magic — crisp air, star-filled skies, and a campfire that feels extra warm. Lake Whitney State Park sets the scene for a cozy weekend of hot cocoa, night hikes, and dad-daughter bonding. Lake Whitney State Park sits on the lake's east shore between Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco, three miles from the town of Whitney. Winter here means quiet trails, big skies for stargazing, and good bass and catfish fishing. Campsites have water and electric hookups with restrooms and showers nearby, and the park has a group camp and recreation hall.
